How to Get a Temporary MEPCO Connection for Events or Construction!
There are two types of electricity temporary mepco connections: one for residential use and another for industrial use. The step-by-step process for both is explained below.
The temporary electricity connection is valid for six months. If you need an extension, you must submit a written application to WAPDA and pay the required demand notice to extend the connection duration.

How to Apply for a Residential Temporary mepco Connection:
If you want a temporary MEPCO electricity connection for a new house construction, please follow the steps below. If you need a new permanent connection, click here.
New temporary Connection Application Form (Online) step by step guide;
- Fill the online form – Apply Here
- Find the Apply button on left side of your PC screen
- Select your company name – MEPCO
- Select your subdivision – (e.g., Multan Cantt)
- Select category type – (e.g., 15KW)
- Enter your neighbor’s meter reference number
- Select connection type – temporary, etc.
- Fill your personal information
- Notify the number of meters already registered under your name

To complete your online application, upload the following documents
- Property Document Copy – Upload Image
- Attested CNIC Copy of Applicant – Upload Image
- Attested CNIC Copy of Witness – Upload Image
- Neighbor’s Electricity Bill Copy – Upload Image
- Wiring Contractor’s Test Report

- Submit the file to your MEPCO subdivision office.
- MEPCO will verify your application and conduct a site survey.
- After survey approval, a demand notice will be issued.
- Print the demand notice, attach the test report, and submit it to the bank with the required fee.

Temporary electricity connection for industrial area;
If you need a temporary industrial connection, follow this procedure.
Industrial temporary connections are allocated by the Punjab Industrial Energy Department and do not fall directly under MEPCO’s authority.
- First of all download application form here
- Fill out the application form, sign it, and submit it with a cover letter along with the following documents.
- Required documents for application
Copy of CNIC of owner & witness.
Copy of Allotment and Possession Letter. - After submitting the application to the concerned office, the Electrical Department-PIEDMC will process it and issue a demand notice. The customer must then make the payment.
- The electricity connection will be provided after the payment of the demand notice.
