To apply for a new MEPCO connection, follow these steps:

3. Select your company name – MEPCO
4. Select your subdivision – (e.g., Multan Cantt)
5. Select category type – (e.g., 15KW)
6. Enter your neighbor’s meter reference number
7. Select connection type – Domestic, Commercial, Industrial, etc.
8. Fill your personal information
9. Notify the number of meters already registered under your name

The demand notice fee for a new MEPCO connection is diffence of location wise. The charges differ for rural and urban areas:

• Rural Areas: Approximately PKR 10,000 to 12,000 for a domestic meter.
• Urban Areas: Ranges from PKR 15,000 to 25,000, with higher fees in well-known societies.

Estimated Time for MEPCO New Meter Installation

The processing time for a new MEPCO connection depends on the category and may take longer than expected. MEPCO categorizes new connections based on load capacity:

Category 1 (Up to 15 kW) – Estimated Timeframe

Category 1 is ideal for domestic and small commercial users, such as houses, small shops, and offices. Below is the estimated timeline for the entire process:

Category-2 (16kw to 70 kws/400 volts)

The process for obtaining a Category-2 MEPCO connection is almost the same as Category-1. However, due to additional verification and processing steps, it may take up to 68 days to complete the installation.

Category-3 (71kW to 500kW / 400 Volts)

Similar to Category-1 and Category-2, the process for obtaining a Category-3 MEPCO connection follows the same steps. However, due to the higher load capacity and additional approvals, the installation process may take up to 100 days from the date of application submission.
